The S300SX FMW is a brand new release for 2012 from BorgWarner. BW utilized their latest generation 'FMW' forged billet EFR compressor wheel technology paired with their proven-solid S300SX inconel turbine wheel turbocharger and 4340 steel shaft for a unique and impressive turbo. Designed to deliver 88mm compressor airflow levels in an 83mm package, the S300SX FMW uses a 7-bladed Extended-Tip FMW forged billet compressor wheel w/ 61.4mm inducer & 83.4mm exducer in a 4" inlet compressor housing making it an attractive and affordable option to the EFR 8374 or any other 62mm inducer turbo. Recommended for use in quick spooling 500-700+whp applications, this turbo uses a severe-duty, 6-pad thrust bearing system to provide unprecedented levels of durability that is also fully serviceable. Oil Cooled only (watercooling and BB CHRA not applicable).

Turbine Wheel Blade Shape:
All of the Airwerks S300SX turbos use an inconel turbine wheel, however one unique aspect to this particular turbo is that you can choose between (2) different turbine wheel shapes; either cupped tip or flat tip. Both are identical outer dimensions and share the same turbine housing (you can swap between them) - the only difference is the actual blade shape

The S300SX FMW comes standard with flat tip in .91 a/r (maximum spool) OR cupped tip in 1.10 a/r (maximum top end). Full-Race recommends tailoring A/R size depending on the application, .88 undivided and 1.00 divided are also available.

Note: FULL RACE RECOMMENDS MODIFYING THE TURBINE HOUSING TO 3" VBAND. This makes downpipe fitment identical to Garrett Vband turbos, allowing you to swap between any t4 turbocharger with 3" vband outlet and guarantees perfect fitment with Full-Race twinscroll turbo kits and manifolds: 3" Vband is an additional $150.

Please specify during checkout if you would like a cupped tip or flat tip turbine wheel.  Also if you would like the option for a 3" Vband for the turbine housing for an additional $150.
